State Line Rug Hookers Chapter

Our 2027 Philanthropy Rug is A Secret Garden from Primitive Spirits, Karen Kahle, designer. The pattern was donated by our member Linda Brown. The net proceeds will benefit the KC area organization Pete's Garden, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing food waste while fighting hunger. The organization rescues fresh, unserved prepared food from restaurants, caterers, hotels, and other food service partners, then safely repackages it into nutritious, family-style meals. These meals are distributed through trusted local social service agencies to families experiencing food insecurity. Pete’s Garden’s mission is simple: save good food, feed families, and strengthen the community by turning surplus meals into hope instead of waste. On Saturday 3/20/27, the winning ticket will be drawn at the Kansas City Hook-In, sponsored by Heart & Hare Rugs.
